When thinking about sourcing the information for this topic, I figured why not go straight to the top? That is, straight to the top of Australia’s Entertainment Management Hub with none other than the mega mogul himself Ralph Carr.
Founder and CEO of Ralph Carr Management (RCM) with over 25 years in the entertainment industry. Ralph is responsible for managing the careers of icons such as Tina Arena, Vanessa Amorosi, Kate Ceberano, Mark Vincent, Paris Wells, Jon Stevens, Sally Cooper, Dean Ray, Bonnie Anderson, Rick Price, Pseudo Echo and Deborah Conway just to name a few!
For those of you on the music production side of things, you’ll also find it interesting to note that Ralph is best friends with world renowned, multi-grammy award mixer and music producer Chris Lord Alge (CLA). Ralph is not only a talent manager, but spends a lot of time in the studio with producers, executively producing most of the albums he has released.(I’ll give you a moment to pick your jaw back up from the ground).
This week, Ralph achieved another first for an Australian Management firm, having for the second time two of his current rostered artists charting in the Top 10 ARIA (Australian Record Industry Association) Album Charts at the same time! Kate Ceberano released her ‘Anthology’ album putting a spotlight on her brilliant career which debuted at No.9 whilst Mark Vincent has stayed firmly at No.8 with his collaboration with Marina Prior ‘Together’ having been No.5 the previous week.

Still, in the midst of all the things he is juggling, Ralph still took time away from his crazy entertainment management schedule to answer a few questions that we commonly hear at 66 Music (how lucky are we). Here’s what Ralph had to say when quizzed about Music Management:
